Award Nominees Requirements

El Josco Awards honor Individuals from different professional backgrounds under the following categories: Communications, Education, Health, Community Service, Entrepreneurship, and Professional of the Year. The nominees must meet the following requirements:

Puerto Rican/Hispanic descent.

Live and work in Central Florida.

Displayed excellence in their area of expertise.

Proven leadership in a specific category.

Demonstrated a commitment to community involvement

Possess credibility and respect in the community.

Do not serve on the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce board of directors in the year he/she was nominated.

Do not be an immediate relative of a board member or employee of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida.

Do not be a member of this year’s El Josco Awards Planning Committee.
-
Do not be a past winner of El Josco Awards except for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
-
Do not be an elected official or an individual who is planning to run for office in an upcoming election.
