El Josco Arts Award Nomination Requirements

The El Josco Awards honor individuals of Puerto Rican/Hispanic descent who have made significant contributions in various fields, including the Arts. The Arts Award recognizes excellence and impact in areas such as visual arts, music, dance, theater, film, literature, or other creative disciplines. Nominees for the Arts Award must meet the following requirements:

Puerto Rican/Hispanic descent.

Live and work in Central Florida.

Displayed excellence in their area of expertise.

Proven leadership in a specific category.

Demonstrated a commitment to community involvement

Possess credibility and respect in the community.

Do not serve on the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce board of directors in the year he/she was nominated.

Do not be an immediate relative of a board member or employee of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida.

Do not be a member of this year’s El Josco Awards Planning Committee.

Do not be a past winner of El Josco Awards except for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Do not be an elected official or an individual who is planning to run for office in an upcoming election.
