About this Event
The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida is proud of the accomplishments and contributions of individuals in different areas of our community. Their contributions have helped to improve and make us a stronger community. Therefore, they should be recognized with El Josco Award.
This much-celebrated community awards honor outstanding individuals of Puerto Rican/Hispanic descent in key areas, such as education, health, entrepreneurship, communications, business, and others.
As it reads in Puerto Rican author Abelardo Díaz Alfaro’s story entitled “El Josco”, an ox represents those who stand up to challenges and adversity, persevering in the end.

In 2024, we will be honoring distinguished individuals that represent “El Josco” in the following categories:

A panel of individuals that are themselves worthy of recognition for their contributions and accomplishments will assist us in choosing the winner in each category.
As a nominator, you must submit the following documentation to complete the nomination process:

Nominees will be notified by e-mail and asked to provide a bio and photo. Finalists for each category will be notified by e-mail, and the winners will be announced at the El Josco Awards.
Previous winners do not qualify.
